Types of supernatural abilities. The main superpowers of modern man. Super Samurai - Isao Machii

Incredible facts

Mutants with superpowers are found not only in comics. Of course, we are not talking about such pronounced fantastic talents, which we had the opportunity to observe, say, the X-Men from Marvel Comics.

However, there are quite real people who were born with unusual and extremely rare abilities. Their talents are so unusual that using any other definition, instead of "superpowers", does not dare.

The only difference between real people and fictional superheroes is that the former do not save the world, destroying nearby skyscrapers... They lead a very normal day-to-day life. But this is only at first glance - the usual ...

The superpower many dream of doesn't always turn life into an adventure. For many, superpower comes with absolutely terrible side effects that can turn the life of a "superman" into absolute hell ...

People with supernormal abilities

The little girl who feels no pain

Olivia Farnsworth never feels pain. The fact is that she was born with a rare pathology called chromosomal deletion(more precisely, a deletion of a portion of the arm of the 6th chromosome).

We are talking about the loss of a chromosome section, which led to the fact that the girl does not feel pain... This means that she is practically unfamiliar with the sense of danger, since she did not experience "punishment" by pain for careless behavior in her life.

In some cases, this ability has proven to be an invaluable gift. She helped her survive when the girl was hit by a car... The car literally ran over her chest, dragging the poor man several meters until it stopped.

And while her family was recovering from shock, Olivia got up, dusted herself off and waved her hand at her mother, as if nothing had happened. The only reason that allowed her to survive is that the girl was not tense, as she did not feel fear.

Since Olivia does not feel pain, her emotions at the moment of collision with a car were significantly different from the emotions of any other person, if he, like this girl, was on the verge of death.

However, in most cases, Olivia's condition brings a huge amount of terrible trouble and trouble not only for herself, but also for her environment. The girl never feels tired or hungry, so her mother needs to be always on the alert.

She goes to great lengths to get her child to eat. To put my daughter to bed Olivia's mother sometimes has to give her sleeping pills, since overwork is extremely dangerous for a young body. Deadly dangerous.

And do not forget about other reasons when pain saves us: when we get burned or hurt. These warnings don't work with Olivia, so you need to keep an eye on her.

The girl cannot burn herself with boiling water, so she will continue to drink it, which can damage the larynx and esophagus. She can even bite off a piece of her lip., tongue or cheek when eating, and not notice it. Perhaps being able to feel pain isn't always a bad thing?

A woman with an impeccable memory

Jill Price never forgets anything. She is ready to recall any event in her life without preliminary preparation; Jill is able to easily revive in her memory the date, time and any other minute details of any event that has ever happened to her.

Her brain is, if you will, just an endless resource of memory, a kind of video recorder, which can always be easily "rewound" to the moment of life that Jill Price needs from her past.

This ability promises a huge number of advantages and, at first glance, does not have any so-called pitfalls that can spoil the buzz from the filigree ability to manipulate your memory.

However, this is felt only at first glance. Just imagine your feelings and emotions, if you had such a superpower... Jill Price, for example, describes this talent of his as "endless, uncontrollable and absolutely draining".

The memory of a woman is constantly giving birth to so much bright images that Jill has practically no opportunity to fully concentrate on what is happening around her. She is constantly forced to be distracted by immersion in her past and memories.

This feature practically negates Jill's ability to assimilate knowledge, since she cannot concentrate on new things... It looks as if her memory was tied to specific objects, things and images.

Thus, Jill's memory, although perfect, is not able to work in the direction in which it is most important for her here and now. Despite the fact that Jill perfectly remembers every little thing from her personal experience, it is more difficult for her than for other people to remember, for example, some simple school facts, abstract things.

People with unbreakable bones

In 1994, a man, about whom it is only known that his name is John (name, possibly fictitious), got into a terrible car accident... By all the laws of physics and biology, John should not have survived.

However, a miracle happened, and the man received almost no damage, apart from a few scratches. His spine had not a single crack; every single bone in the body also remained intact.

In this case, given the degree of destruction of his car, experts drew attention. To the surprise of the doctors not only John himself, but all members of his family never in my life faced any fractures of bones or fractures.

Perhaps this story will seem like a fiction - it is too close to the cinema, as, say, in the movie "Invincible" with Bruce Willis in the title role. However, we are talking about a real, not a fictional person.

John was indeed born with more dense bones than any average person - eight times denser to be precise... And, accordingly, much more durable.

John has the same trouble as Willis' character in the above movie - he is too heavy to float, and therefore it is quite difficult for him to swim. It is noteworthy that many of people with the same pathology note that their life is far from sugar. Especially in mature years.

Higher skeletal density is a true daily strength test. But not bones, but the whole organism, which wears out faster, since all other tissues of the body are always forced to experience additional stress on themselves due to denser bones.

So far, John has no particular complaints about his health. However, according to experts, the older John gets, the clearer he will realize that his inability to stay on the water normally is not the greatest inconvenience that a heavy skeleton brings.

Human superpowers

The woman who can see a hundred million colors

Most people have three types of cones (sensitive receptors in the retina) of the eye, which allow them to distinguish spectrum of seven million colors... The other millions of flowers represented in the universe are inaccessible to almost anyone - except for animals and some women.

The phenomenon of tetrachromathy (the perception of the four main types of color due to the presence of four types of cones), as well as the fact that this phenomenon may be available to some women, has been said more than once.

However, in reality it was possible to identify only one woman who can be called a "true tetrachromat". She received the name "subject cDa29". In this woman alone, four fully functional cone types were found among humans.

This anomaly enables subject cDa29 to see a vast spectrum of one hundred million colors. She is able to see the full spectrum of a rainbow of colors, including those millions of colors that are beyond our imagination.

It is a real miracle if someone suddenly realizes in himself the ability to see these colors. Essentially, subject cDa29 sees colors like that she can't even describe to other people... But that's not all.

This woman, with all the complex hues she sees, is largely hard to imagine the colors that other people see. As a result, subject cDa29 was considered purely color blind before being recognized as a tetrachromat.

There is a theory that only one to three percent of all women on our planet may be able to see the full spectrum consisting of one hundred million colors. However, they do not perceive this skill as a certain feature.

These women, as well as subject cDa29, were recorded as color blind. And their male offspring too - but for good reason. In a strange twist of fate, a gene that allows women to see more flowers makes their sons color blind. At the very least, subject cDa29 will never pass this ability on to his sons.

A man with fantastically stretching skin

Harry Turner is a kind of Mr. Fantastic from the famous Fantastic Four squad of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Certainly, Harry's abilities are not so limitless like its fantastic prototype.

Harry was born with a rare pathology called Ehlers-Danlos syndrome. This condition has a number of other names, but the point is that it gives a person hyperelastic skin that can stretch like rubber.

But that's not all: a person with this pathology every moment of his life feels pain... Harry, from the moment he wakes up in the morning until the moment he takes a sleeping pill before bed, has a constant burning pain under his skin.

The pain is so intense that Turner is forced to wear a morphine pain relieving patch that allows him to literally get through day after day. His stretched skin also led to Harry being diagnosed with hemophilia.

In other words, with such skin it takes a very long time for blood to clot. That is, if Harry cuts himself, cut blood can flow for a very long time before it is possible to somehow stop this bleeding.

A man is forced to take so many medications throughout his life that sometimes he literally falls into unconsciousness. It can last up to forty hours until Harry comes to his senses again.

Because of this loss of consciousness, Turner did not have the opportunity to graduate from high school; and for the rest of his life, they had a strong influence. The only way, how Harry can make a living, it's working in a circus. He performs in a kind of freak show, although the audience has no idea how much pain his tricks give him.

A woman whose beauty is the result of mutation

Almost everyone knows one of these women - we are talking about Elizabeth Taylor. Yes, Elizabeth is essentially a mutant - technically speaking. Her stunning blue-violet eyes, framed by double thick eyelashes, are the result of a mutation in the FOXC2 gene.

This mutation, which can occur in some women, leads to more intense eyelash growth... In this case, the iris of the eye acquires a specific amazing shade.

The benefits of this mutation for women are clear. In the case of Elizabeth Taylor, these mutations helped her become a superstar. However, this mutation does not always manifest itself exactly as it happened with Elizabeth. Mutations in the FOXC2 gene can lead to unwanted hair growth in completely unexpected places.

Sometimes, these super eyelashes will start to break through a woman's eyelids, which can be painful, leading to constant tearing. AND, if you do not consult a doctor with this condition, this can lead to the destruction of the surface cells of the eye membrane. Vision can deteriorate - up to blindness.

Experts associate this mutation with certain problems that increase the risk of developing heart disease. According to statistics, women with a FOXC2 gene mutation have a significantly higher risk of developing heart disease.

Ultimately, this is what killed Elizabeth Taylor, although she died at a fairly advanced age. The actress dies of congestive heart failure at the age of 79. Who knows, maybe only her beautiful eyes and the love of her fans allowed Elizabeth to live to an old age.

Superpowers of the body

A man who has been found to be immune to AIDS

An absolutely unexplained genetic mutation was found in the American Steve Crohn. For some unknown reasons the man's body has demonstrated immunity to acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS).

The active period of Steve's life, which, by the way, was of non-traditional sexual orientation, happened just during the spread of the HIV epidemic... His sex life was quite promiscuous, so many simply considered him the lucky one to have escaped this infection.

While sexually transmitted diseases were killing dozens of people around Steve, he himself remained in excellent health. This looked all the more unusual because the man, as his entourage noted, was not very worried about his safety.

And while many of his acquaintances tried to avoid death, Steve strove to live life to the fullest. Krohn himself made it clear more than once that it is extremely difficult for him to live, since he constantly felt the weight of the grief that he experienced, losing loved ones and well-known people.

Steve wrote about his feelings: "You keep losing people every year - six people, seven people ... It is not easy when you lose friends and you are young. And it happens over such a long period of time.".

Eventually, Steve began collaborating with medical professionals, allowing them to study themselves. The latter were simply surprised because they could not understand how a person can be so lucky that with a similar lifestyle he is still alive and well.

Physical superpower

It is known that people have incredible abilities, but they do not use them in everyday life, because they are not able to control them at will. However, sometimes, in extreme situations, these forces suddenly manifest themselves. And then a miracle happens, which they cannot explain.

Fear with a sense of self-preservation in extreme situations "allows" the human body to fully use its "reserve", but most resort to this "emergency reserve" very rarely. Although, once having used his hidden capabilities, a person wonders for the rest of his life how he managed it.

This happens most often in the face of terrible danger, when a threat to life arises, and death seems inevitable. At this moment, the body works wonders.

There are plenty of examples of this. So, in the city of Lawrenceville, Georgia, a woman managed to lift a powerful Chevrolet Impala that fell on her son. The car fell off the jack and crushed her son Tony while he was fixing it. The mother lifted the car in a second and held it until her son was pulled out.

Adrenaline enables a person not only to lift cars. In 2006, in Quebec, a woman had a chance to wrestle with a large bear. He approached the place where her son and several other boys were playing hockey. The woman grabbed the bear and fought until help came running to her. In an unequal fight, the woman received only a few small wounds, while the predator was simply knocked out. At the same time, the neighbor shot him as many as five times, and only then the bear died.

So, what kind of forces appear at the moment when logical thinking turns off, since people perform such miracles without thinking whether they can or not, and some do not even remember what happened?

Where do these supernatural powers come from? Is the superman's Alter-ego awakening in people? Or maybe people really have superpower, given to them by nature?

Some believe that a person does not use the capabilities of his muscles to their full strength, however, at the moment when faced with a threat, he "breaks" these restrictions. Something similar happens when a person is subjected to electric shock. After all, it is known that an electric shock, a person is able to run a sufficiently long distance in an unrealistically short time. But the ongoing process is not at all similar to the action of an electric shock. Actually, the electric charge, acting from the outside, makes the muscles contract, and due to this they become elastic. But if there is no source of excitement, the muscles "live" in their normal state, and therefore people do not have superpower - they cannot run long distances in the blink of an eye or lift heavy machines into the air.

Science is able to explain such attacks of "hysterical" power, manifested only in a stressful state. The fact is that given power rises "without warning", but it is not only unethical and dangerous to reproduce such a situation in laboratory conditions, but also impossible.

When a person is faced with trouble or fear, changes in his body immediately begin. For example, when a parent sees that their child is in danger, this source of stress immediately irritates the hypothalamus - the part of the brain that is responsible for emotionality. When a "message" of danger is received in the hypothalamus, a signal is transmitted to the adrenal glands that activates the sympathetic system. Adrenaline and norepinephrine are secreted from the adrenal glands, which help the body to "gather" in extreme situations. These hormones increase the heart rate, increase breathing and dilate the pupils, causing the muscles to contract. They seem to "prepare" a person for the impending danger, making him stronger. One gets the impression that a valve is opening with additional energy.

At this moment, adrenaline is released, which regulates vascular tone. More blood and oxygen penetrates the muscles, contributing to increased functional muscle efficiency. The skeletal muscles, which are attached to the bones, begin to contract. Because of this, a person becomes noticeably stronger and more enduring.

But why can't a person always have supernatural power? The answer is clear - it could kill him.

A long state of arousal, according to scientists, can lead to very negative consequences... For example, the Austrian Hans Selye, a pathologist, studied the reaction of the human body to stress for a long time. He identified several reactions in the body, which he called the adaptation syndrome. The scientist called the first stage the reaction of anxiety, that is, the reaction of the body to unexpected stress, when, faced with danger, the human body prepares to fight to the end, to victory, or, conversely, to flight. He called the second reaction the stage of resistance. At this time, a person is completely ready for danger. At this stage, his pupils are dilated, his heartbeat and breathing are quickened, and at the same time the muscles contract. It is at this stage that people can rush at the speed of the wind, lift incredibly massive objects, etc.

There is, of course, the opportunity to improve the functional capacity of the muscles as a result of special training. If you lift the barbell many times every day, then the muscles actually become more elastic over time. But if muscle contraction constantly occurs as a result of the release of adrenaline, then the sad consequences cannot be avoided. This nature of surges in functional muscle capacity leads to tissue rupture.

In almost all cases, including the woman who lifted the car and the woman fighting a polar bear, the stressors that arise do not last long. Literally in a few minutes, the human body, having recovered from the shock, returns to normal life. The parasympathetic system enters the work, the effect of which is absolutely opposite to the sympathetic one. As a result of the work of the parasympathetic nervous system, the heartbeat slows down, breathing and pulse are restored, muscles relax, many functions begin to work again, for example, digestion. The hypothalamus, which is responsible for triggering the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems, maintains an optimal state that scientists call homeostasis.

At the same time, being in a tense state for a long time, the body passes into the third stage in the general adaptation system of Selye - the stage of fatigue. At this stage, the human immune system gradually weakens. As a result, the human body can no longer withstand many infectious diseases... And if this condition lasts for a long time, then the person easily gets sick, he may have a heart attack.

Therefore, it is obvious that if a person were always in a state of excitement, he would simply exhaust all his strength.

Even Arthur Clarke said that the only way to determine the boundaries of the possible is to go beyond these very boundaries. But, unfortunately, such situations are always accompanied by great danger and risk to life.

The media often talks about people capable of incredible actions. Tissue regeneration, weather control and levitation - is there anything impossible? Of course, many abilities are the invention of a science fiction writer, but it's no secret that you can develop some of them in yourself. There is an opinion that many skills were inherited from our ancestors, who were more susceptible to exoteric knowledge. So, we dodge an unexpectedly falling object, we feel an inexplicable danger from a person. What superpowers of people are found today?

Clairvoyance

This is the ability to see events in the past and future, as well as in parallel worlds. To transfer images to a conscious level, it is necessary to use one more skill - clairvoyance. People with supernormal abilities in these areas can simulate the likelihood of actions and their living at a fast pace. In reality, the individual uses the experience gained and can change the future. It is believed that such a gift can be developed using a variety of techniques and exercises. When passing the stages of cognition, the mind opens, and thinking becomes multifaceted, and not linear, like in ordinary people.

Extrasensory perception

There are superpowers in people who are distinguished by extraordinary sensitivity to all types of energy. This phenomenon is called extrasensory perception. The owner of this skill sees auras, chakras, feels disturbances at the energy level. The detected changes the psychic is able to cure, but only with the help of words.

Insensitive to cold and heat

The famous Wim Hof, nicknamed "The Ice Man", developed the ability to control the autonomous functions of the body throughout his life. Through the use of special techniques and meditations, he became a world record holder in many categories. For example, he spent several hours in an ice bath without consequences for the body, climbed Everest in some shorts. Scientists, after conducting a number of studies, have come to the conclusion that Wim Hof controls the level of stress hormone and anti-inflammatory molecules in the blood, thereby allowing vegetative processes to accelerate. But this is not the only case of manifestation of insensitivity to aggressive environmental factors. Ordinary people, without any preparation, also survived after facing the cold. So, the pilot Yuri Kozlovsky made a bailout in winter. When he fell, he received an open fracture of both legs, but was able to survive in the tundra, spending three days there.

And here is the opposite example of human superpower. African American Willie Jones, having received heatstroke at an air temperature of 32.2 degrees, was able to survive. Although his body warmed up to 46.5 degrees, and he was already 52 years old. An unusual "friendship" with fire was recorded by the Guinness Book of Records. Reg Morris, a professional fire-eater, managed to breathe out a 9.4-meter-long burning flame, after which he extinguished 22,888 torches in two hours by putting them in his mouth. The results of scientific experiments have shown that the maximum temperature with which a person can come into contact is 841 degrees Celsius. It is to this size that coals and stones are heated, on which ritual dances and barefoot walks are performed.

Absolute memory

No less famous are the superpowers of people in memorizing a lot of material, pictures of the world around them. For example, in 1974 in Burma, Bhandanta Visichara recited 16,000 pages of Buddhist texts by heart. Gu Yang Lin from China was able to memorize 15 thousand phone numbers of the city of Harbin by heart, and Barbara Moore from America sang 1,852 songs in 19 days. In 1990, the Guinness Book of Records added Samvel Gharibyan from Yerevan to its list, who from the first time remembered 960 out of 1000 unfamiliar words dictated to him.

You can remember not only numbers and words, an example of which is the artist Wiltshire, who has a phenomenal photographic memory. Flying in a helicopter over New York, he was able to recreate the picture he saw on canvas in all its details. Kim Peek, who suffers from Opitz-Kavegia syndrome, could read two pages of a book at the same time, and even after several years, retell them exactly.

Analyzers work at the top level

There are people in the world with supernormal abilities who are able to feel the taste most vividly and intensely. They are called super tasters. The reason for this phenomenon is a large number of special papillae on the tongue. Oddly enough, this ability is most inherent in women from Asia and Africa. Usually, people with superpowers of this type refuse to eat food containing bitterness, since for them this is the most palpable taste.

A person who has perfect pitch is able to reproduce a sound without mentioning it, name the notes of a chord, and recognize the pitch of everyday sounds. To have this skill, you need to mentally classify sounds into categories. According to the studies carried out in this matter, it can be concluded that absolute pitch is most common in a sound linguistic environment and with a pitch accent. These regions include Japan, Vietnam, areas of China where Mandarin and Cantonese are spoken. People with supernormal abilities in this area are most often either blind from birth or suffer from a mental disorder.

Another unusual skill that has been repeatedly recorded in the world is tetrachromatism. This is the ability to see not only the red, green and blue regions of the spectrum, but also additional areas, which leads to the ability to perceive 100 million colors. This phenomenon occurs most often in women, and the ability can be transferred to a man, but already in the form of color blindness.

Echolocation

Superpowers of people are especially clearly manifested as a result of any violations. So, for orientation in space, blind individuals can recreate sound, and determine the location of objects by the echo. Sound can be produced by clicking the tongue or tapping with a stick. Daniel Kish is an example of someone who has this ability. In infancy, he lost his sight, but was able to compensate for his absence by clicking his tongue. As an adult, he taught about 500 children his way of learning about the world. Studies using magnetic resonance imaging have shown that the brains of people who have mastered echolocation have undergone a number of changes. Thus, the visual cortex adapts to the processing of echo, distance and direction of sound waves. This development of human superpowers allows you to travel long distances in any conditions.

Chimerism

Superpowers of a person may seem incredible at first glance, but they are easily explained in a scientific way. Chimerism is extremely rare and is due to the fusion of two fertilized eggs early in pregnancy. With this intercourse, each population of cells retains its genetic character, and the resulting embryo becomes a mixture of the two parental DNA. In the world, no more than 40 cases of chimerism have been recorded. There is an assumption that chimeras are people of a new generation, whom nature adapts to global changes on the planet in the future.

Synesthesia

Superpowers of people can manifest themselves in the association of letters, numbers, words with certain colors and tastes. The phenomenon is explained by the stimulation of certain sensory or cognitive channels, which leads to an involuntary response of other channels. Synesthesia most often manifests itself in grapheme-color form. There are other forms of this phenomenon - the vision of a certain location of the date in space, or the perception of sounds in color. According to the results of studies conducted in 2006, scientists concluded that one in 23 people has synesthesia. Among the famous people with this phenomenon were Vladimir Nabokov, Nikola Tesla and others.

People-counters

Often on TV you can see that a person can multiply huge numbers in his mind almost instantly. Research in this area has led to the assumption that the cause of supernormal ability is increased blood flow in a certain part of the brain. An example of someone who can count quickly is Shakuntala Devi from India. The woman in front of the commission multiplied two thirteen-digit numbers, taken at random, in 28 seconds. And Alexander Nekrasov from Lipetsk in 61 seconds was able to extract the thousandth root of a number consisting of 547 digits. The list of "Human superpowers" in the field of counting is not so small, in almost every country you can find an individual with such a phenomenon.

"Powerful Fist"

Gino Martino is a superpower. A professional wrestler could easily break hard objects with his head, such as iron bars, concrete blocks. Gino Martino's skull even withstood the impact of a bowling ball, which was thrown from a five-meter height.

Masutatsu Oyama was distinguished by incredible strength. He was a martial artist that no one could defeat. In addition to his invincibility in battles, Masutatsu Oyama became famous for the fact that he knocked down one with the blow of an angry bull.

Buddhist monks have always been distinguished by skills beyond the control of ordinary people. So, through the practice of "inner fire", they could significantly increase their body temperature. Master Zhou could heat objects with his own hands, for example, he could easily dry clay or bring water to a boil. He was also distinguished by the ability to heal seriously ill patients, including those suffering from cancer, by simple touching.

Incredible abilities

In France, there was a man who could eat anything. His name was Michel Lotito. Between 1959 and 1997, he ate approximately nine tons of metal, in the form of televisions, bicycles, shopping carts, a coffin, an airplane, and part of the Eiffel Tower. The scientific world calls this phenomenon "picacism" or eating disorder, which is expressed in an extraordinary craving for inedible things.

Do people have superpowers that allow them to recognize a disease in a person at a glance? It turns out there is. At the age of 10, a girl named Natasha Demkina discovered her gift - to see through human skin. Numerous studies have confirmed her ability. People began to come to her to make a diagnosis. Natalia was nicknamed "The Girl with X-ray Eyes" and even the Discovery Channel released a documentary about her superpowers.

Fiction in real life

Real people with superpowers, the list of which we will continue, are represented by the skills to ignite objects and float above the ground. Many of us dreamed of learning to fly, feeling freedom of movement. Scotsman Daniel Hume made that dream come true. Witnesses confirm the fact that he got off the ground and could hang under the ceiling. In 1867, a psychic and spiritualist flew out of the third-floor window and came back in front of numerous spectators. D. Hume's speeches were attended by famous people (Napoleon Bonaparte), researchers, scientists, but no one was able to catch him in a lie. Another amazing and inexplicable ability was possessed by Nelly Kulagina. She could separate the yolk from the protein without touching the egg, and she could also stop the heart of animals. Scientists during the experiments could only record her rapid heartbeat, reaching up to 250 beats.

Science fiction movies tell us about heroes who can set objects on fire at a glance. It turns out that this is not fiction. In Mongolia, there really was a girl named Batmukhin Unurme who possessed such a gift, but, unfortunately, she never managed to take control of her ability. She spent the end of her life in a hospital with a nervous breakdown.

Development of human superpowers

Incredible skills may appear from birth and cannot be explained. But scientists have identified a number of reasons that can help in the emergence of superpowers. These include brain injury, mental illness, compensation for non-functioning feelings, and autism.

How can you develop your abilities? In fact, there are a lot of techniques, starting with breathing exercises and meditation, and ending with hypnosis. Some organizations even invite to the training "Human Superpowers". If we combine the information on the methods of developing special skills, then we come to the following conclusion: the most important condition is adherence to a healthy lifestyle. The spirit must also be healthy. It is necessary to give vent to negative emotions during physical activity, having understood the reasons why they were caused. Exercise should be done regularly without succumbing to laziness. It must be remembered that the stronger a person becomes, the greater his responsibility to the world.

Sometimes in life there come such moments when you want to have some kind of superpower, like superheroes, in order to solve some life problem... But, unfortunately, we do not have such abilities.

However, the heroes of today's collection have various superpowers, from the ability to hold their breath under water for a long period, to eagle vision. So, 12 people with supernormal abilities in real life.

People with supernormal abilities

1. Liv Tou Lin is a man magnet

Liv Tou Lin from Malaysia is included in the list of people with superpowers in real life, as he is a real human magnet with the ability to attract metal objects to his body. He can hold up to 36 kg of metal objects on his body. Also with the help of this ability, he was able to drag a car. Liv himself discovered his gift at the age of 60, when tools began to simply stick to his body.

2. Zhou Ting-Jue - generates heat with palms

Zhou Ting-Jue - 89-year-old master of kung fu, tai chi and qigong also has superpowers. He can generate enormous amounts of heat using only his hands. The heat it generates through the palms of your hands can heat water to a boil. He is also able to shift his body weight from legs to chest, thanks to which he is able to stand on a sheet of paper without falling through it.

Zhou Ting-Jue is also a healer and claims to be able to dissolve tumors, heal severe, chronic injuries, and heal incurable diseases. He has treated the Dalai Lama, Olympic athletes, celebrities and politicians.

3. Michel Litoto - the man who ate the plane

Michel Litoto was a French entertainer who possessed an amazing superpower to eat everything from glass to metal. He was even nicknamed "Mr. Omnivore."

Between 1959 and 1997, he ate about 9 tons of metal. Michel Litoto could eat inorganic objects without much harm to the digestive system due to the very thick walls of the stomach and intestines.

When he ate an object, he would usually break it into pieces and swallow it with water and mineral oil. He could also have eaten an entire Cessna 150 aircraft, which took him two years to eat.

4. Stephen Wiltshire - Cameraman

Stephen Wiltshire is also ranked among the people with supernormalities in real life. Stephen is an artist with savant syndrome who can draw any landscape from memory after seeing it just once. He amazed many with his ability to paint a very complex, accurate and detailed picture of the entire city from memory, which he visited in passing by helicopter.

Thus, he painted a panoramic drawing of Tokyo, Rome and New York. The latter is presented in the form of a giant billboard at John F Kennedy International Airport.

5. Dean Karnasis - ultramarathon runner

Dean Karnasis is a marathon runner who was able to run continuously for 3 days without stopping or sleeping.

In the body of every person there is a lactate threshold, going beyond which, after intense physical exertion, we feel fatigue in the muscles. Dean, apparently, had the ability to stay within this threshold for a long time.

He was able to overcome one of the toughest endurance tests - a marathon at the South Pole at a temperature of -25 ° C without snowshoes. Also in 2006, he ran a 50-state marathon for 50 consecutive days.

Superpowers of a person

6. Veronica Zyder - the sight of an eagle

Veronica Seider, who was born in West Germany in 1951, has extraordinary vision that is 20 times better than the average person. While studying at the University of Stuttgart, her eyesight caught the attention of those around her.

The girl could see people at a distance of 1.6 km, while with normal vision, a person can hardly see details at a distance of 6 meters. Veronica's vision is compared to a telescope, as she sees the elements that make up colors on a color TV screen.

7. Daniel Kish - the blind man who learned to see like a bat

Daniel Kish was born with a form of retinal cancer called retinoblastoma. To save his life, the doctors removed both of him eyeballs and he became blind at the age of 13 months.

Daniel started using the echolocation technique at the age of 2. With the help of echolocation, he learned to detect buildings at a distance of 300 meters, a tree at a distance of 9 meters and a person at a distance of 2 meters.

Also, possessing this superpower, he can distinguish freight car from a car and an SUV. Daniel is President of Worldwide Access for the Blind and has trained at least 500 children in echolocation.

It is as if some kind of force is holding them from the inside - despite the fact that each object can weigh up to 2 kg, and in total, a man-magnet is able to hold 36 kg on himself. Scientists from the Malaysian University of Technology have come to the conclusion that Tou Lin's skin has a kind of unique "grip" property, which helps objects to "stick" to the body - as if under the influence of a magnetic field. The strangest thing is that this ability is inherited in Tou Lin's family, and his three grandchildren can boast of the same skill.

Supernatural Memory - Daniel Tammet

People with phenomenal mathematical ability and powerful memory are not uncommon. They are able to solve complex mathematical equations faster than a computer or to reproduce in memory some event from ten years ago with an accuracy of a second. It is not clear how, but he managed to develop an extraordinary ability to echolocation. By issuing sharp clicks with his tongue, he "saw" objects so well that it seriously improved his quality of life. Sadly, Ben Underwood died in 2009 due to cancer recurrence. Ben was the brightest of Daniel Kish's students. Daniel is blind and also navigates the world using echolocation (this is called "sonar vision"). Earlier works, he said, are too similar in structure and difficult to recognize. However, Arthur Lintgen's ability is unique in its own way.
