Why do you need to provide up-to-date information to the Bank?

Chapter 2. Procedure for identifying clients, client representatives, beneficiaries, beneficial owners and updating information about them

2.1. When identifying a client, client representative, beneficiary, beneficial owner, the credit institution, independently or with the involvement of third parties, collects information and documents provided for in Appendices 1 and to this Regulation, documents that are the basis for banking operations and other transactions.

Taking into account the requirements of these Regulations, a credit institution has the right to collect other information (documents) independently determined by it in the internal control rules for AML/CFT purposes.

If a credit organization involves third parties in collecting information and documents specified in paragraphs one and two of this paragraph, identification of the client, client representative, beneficiary, beneficial owner is carried out directly by the credit organization or by the person to whom, in cases established by the Federal Law of August 7, 2001 Year N 115-FZ, identification (simplified identification) was entrusted.

2.2. When identifying (simplified identification) a client, a client representative, beneficiary, beneficial owner, as well as when updating information obtained as a result of identification (simplified identification), the credit institution uses information from open information systems of government authorities of the Russian Federation, the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation, Federal Compulsory Medical Insurance Fund, located on the information and telecommunications network "Internet" (hereinafter referred to as the "Internet") or the Unified System of Interdepartmental Electronic Interaction, including:

information about lost, invalid passports, passports of deceased individuals, lost passport forms;

information about the presence in relation to the client, the client’s representative, the beneficiary and the beneficial owner of information about their involvement in extremist activities or terrorism.

To establish the information provided for in paragraph three of this paragraph, the credit institution uses the appropriate information services posted on the official website of the Main Directorate for Migration Issues of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation on the Internet or in the Unified System of Interdepartmental Electronic Interaction.

A credit institution also has the right to use other sources of information legally available to the credit institution.

2.3. Updating of information obtained as a result of identification of a client, client representative, beneficiary, beneficial owner is carried out by the credit institution in accordance with the procedure established in the internal control rules for AML/CFT purposes, by receiving documents and information directly from the client (client representative) and ( or) by referring to the sources of information specified in paragraph 2.2 of these Regulations.

2.4. A credit institution has the right not to carry out re-identification of a client, client representative, beneficiary, beneficial owner, or repeated simplified identification of a client - an individual, if the following conditions exist in total:

identification of the client, client representative, beneficiary, beneficial owner, simplified identification of the client - an individual has previously been carried out and the client is being serviced;

the credit institution has no doubts about the reliability and accuracy of the previously received information;

information about this client, client representative, beneficiary, and beneficial owner is provided with prompt access on a permanent basis in the manner established by the credit institution in the internal control rules for AML/CFT purposes.

2.5. When establishing correspondent relations with a non-resident bank, with the exception of a bank that is a state (national) bank of a foreign state, the credit organization collects information provided for in paragraph 1 and subparagraphs 2.5, 2.6, 2.8 and 2.10 of paragraph 2 of Appendix 2 to this Regulation, as well as information on AML/CFT measures taken by such non-resident bank.

A bank client can download the OTPdirect mobile application to a tablet or phone for free. The program is a service similar to online banking. You must use the same login and password as for online banking.

We use SMS banking

If there is no Internet connection, you can use SMS banking. The service allows you to obtain all the necessary information. The borrower should simply send an SMS message to the short number 5927. The message must contain the text: CREDIT.

If there is a need to gain full access to the SMS banking service, then you need to send the text “HELP” to the short number.

Checking debt in the OTPcredit application

The following options will be available to the borrower:

  1. Familiarization with the exact amount of the loan and the number of days remaining until the date of the next payment.
  2. You can find out the borrower's account details and other information necessary to repay the debt.
  3. View a detailed map showing terminals and points where you can make payments.
  4. Track payments under your loan agreement using a detailed schedule.
  5. Setting up notifications about the need to make the next payment.
  6. You can view information about the terms of enrollment and the amount of commissions.
  7. Repaying debt from a mobile device account.

At the OTP Bank branch

The borrower can obtain information about the status of the debt at the nearest bank branch. The client must have a passport with him. To find out the location of OTP Bank branches, you need to:

  • go to the official website of the credit institution https://www.otpbank.ru;
  • select your city at the top;
  • Click on “Branches and ATMs”.

The user will see a map with the location of branches, terminals, etc., as well as indicators of the current workload.

Via Help Desk

A bank client can call the help desk at 8-800-100-55-55 or 0707 from mobile devices. The call is free for holders of SIM cards from major Russian telecom operators. The service operates around the clock.

In accordance with the requirements of paragraph 3, paragraph 1, article 7 of the Federal Law of August 7, 2001 No. 115-FZ “On combating the legalization (laundering) of proceeds from crime and the financing of terrorism,” the Bank is obliged to update information about Clients not less than 1 (Once) time a year.

When applying, you must have the following documents with you:

  1. passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation;
    • when changing the Client's last name, first name, patronymic (you must have a certificate of change of full name, a new passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation);
    • when changing the date and place of birth of the Client (you must have a court decision on changing the place of birth, a passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation);
    • when changing the registration address at the place of residence (you must have a passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation with a stamp of the new place of registration);
    • when changing the details of the passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation (you must have a passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation with you with a note in the new passport about the details of the old passport);
    • when changing the details of the TIN certificate (you must have a TIN certificate and a passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation with you);
    • When receiving a new visa and/or migration card (for foreign citizens), you must have a visa and/or migration card and a foreign citizen’s passport with you.

We ask that you update your identification information annually at least once a year.

Why do you need to provide up-to-date information to the Bank?

In accordance with Federal Law No. 115-FZ dated 08/07/2011 “On combating the legalization (laundering) of proceeds from crime and the financing of terrorism,” the Bank is obliged to update information about its clients at least once a year. At the same time, all Clients are obliged to provide the Bank with current information or confirm the relevance of previously provided information. To provide updated information or confirm that it has not changed, you can contact the Bank's office. The Bank must maintain up-to-date information about each client in order to fulfill the client's orders for transactions.

In what cases is it necessary to update information or confirm its immutability?

  • Updating of identification information must be carried out no later than 1 year after concluding an agreement with the Bank (providing the Bank with current information or confirming its immutability);
  • You have received a notification from the Bank about the need to update your information or confirm that it is unchanged. The notification can be posted in OTP Direct or sent via email, SMS, postal mail, and also additionally posted on the Bank’s official website on the Internet;
  • You received a new passport;
  • You changed your last name, first name, patronymic;
  • You have changed your date and place of birth;
  • You have changed your address of residence (registration) or place of residence;
  • You have received a new visa and/or migration card (for foreign citizens);
  • You have received a new Taxpayer Identification Number
  • Your contact information has changed, for example, telephone number, fax number, email address, postal address (if available);
  • You have received/lost the status of Public Official 1
  • You have acquired/changed a representative/beneficiary/beneficiary owner 2

Beneficiary - a person who is not a direct participant in the transaction, for whose benefit the client acts, including on the basis of an agency agreement, contracts of agency, commission and trust management, when conducting transactions with funds and other property

Beneficial owner is an individual who ultimately directly or indirectly (through third parties) owns (has a predominant participation of more than 25 percent in the capital) a client - a legal entity or has the ability to control the actions of the client. The beneficial owner of a client who is an individual is considered to be this person, unless there are grounds to believe that the beneficial owner is another individual

How do I update my information?

Contact any Bank office in person with a set of supporting documents:

  1. passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation;
  2. If you change the information below, you must provide documents confirming the change:
    • when changing your last name, first name, patronymic, you must have a certificate of change of full name, a new passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation;
    • when changing the date and place of birth, you must have a court decision on changing the place of birth and a passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation;
    • when changing the registration address at the place of residence, you must have a passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation with a stamp of the new place of registration;
    • when changing the details of the passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation, you must have a passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation with you with a note in the new passport about the details of the old passport;
    • when changing the details of the TIN certificate, you must have a TIN certificate and a passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation with you

What happens if you do not update the information and do not confirm its immutability?

If you do not provide up-to-date information within the established time frame, in accordance with Article 7, Clause 11 of the Federal Law No. 115-FZ dated 08/07/2001, the Bank reserves the right to refuse to execute orders to carry out debit transactions on your accounts.

Legal grounds

Article 7 of the Federal Law of 07.08.2001 N 115-FZ "On combating the legalization (laundering) of proceeds from crime and the financing of terrorism"

  • clause 14. – Clients are required to provide organizations carrying out transactions with funds or other property with the information necessary for these organizations to fulfill the requirements of Federal Law No. 115-FZ of 08/07/2001, including information about their beneficiaries and beneficial owners.
  • clause 3 clause 1 – 1. Organizations carrying out transactions with cash or other property are required to update information about clients, client representatives, beneficiaries and beneficial owners at least once a year, and in case of doubts about the reliability and accuracy earlier information received - within seven working days following the day such doubts arise;
  • clause 11. Organizations carrying out transactions with funds or other property have the right to refuse to execute a client’s order to carry out a transaction, with the exception of transactions for crediting funds received to the account of an individual or legal entity, a foreign structure without forming a legal entity, for which there is no documents necessary for recording information in accordance with the provisions of Federal Law No. 115-FZ of 08/07/2001 are presented.
