But they did not consider stage talents in him, friends advised him to give the boy to sports, so his parents brought him to the gymnastics section at the age of 4.
Sport tempered the boy, taught him to achieve his goals. Sergey took part in competitions and won many times. It was in the sports section that the realization came to him that in life you can and must get everything you want, you just have to try and work hard.
Seryozha was not yet a schoolboy, when his parents divorced, his mother had to raise two sons herself. But the boys from early childhood grew up independent and tried in every possible way to help their mother. In the neighboring stores, all the sellers knew Seryozha. School years
Primary school Sergei studied at the Moscow school number 389, and from the 5th grade he was transferred to school number 1061, which is located on Molodogvardeyskaya street. At school, Seryozha studied well, was a solid good student. While still a child, Pasha traveled with the ensemble all over the world, one tour in the United States was about three months. Of course, for a child there is a very tough schedule, one might even say terrible. But at the same time, the children received a lot of impressions and emotions. Sergei always liked how the family saw off, and then met his brother from the tour, he even envied him a little.
And secondly, Seryozha was injured in training, after which he could not compete. And to study, to work and at the same time not to win were already incompatible concepts for Lazarev.
At the age of 9, he left gymnastics and began singing and dancing with the Loktev ensemble. Gradually, the stage became his main life dream, Sergei realized that sport is not something that he would like to do all his life. To completely surrender to your favorite work, you need to immerse yourself in it with your head, and Lazarev found such immersion in music.
The beginning of the creative path
As a schoolboy, Sergei decided for himself his first dream - to win the Morning Star song contest, which at that time was very popular among children's creative teams.
For a couple of years he studied with his older brother in the Loktev song and dance ensemble. Along with this, he attended a studio at the Boris Pokrovsky Theater, where he studied acting, and his first appearance on the stage took place here. At the age of 12, Seryozha became a member of the group in the famous children's ensemble "Fidgets", with which he began his touring activities, the group traveled a lot to participate in various music festivals, and also performed on television.
In 1995, Lazarev tried his hand at the role of a film actor, he starred in the issue of the children's humorous film magazine "Yeralash" No. 124, where he played an art school student in the episode "Liar".
Despite such a workload, Lazarev continued to study well and took an active part in school life. By the senior grades, he became a ringleader among the children, he could easily organize and gather classmates around him. As soon as the school began to participate in KVN, Seryozha became a member of the team, and then headed it. Then he was the captain of the district KVN team, which took part in Moscow competitions and once went to Sochi.
In 1995, on the RTR television channel, a competition for children's songs "Golden Key" was held, and Seryozha became the winner. The next year, he won a victory in Italy at the Bravo Bravissimo competition. And in 1997 his childhood dream came true: the All-Russian competition "Morning Star" was submitted to him.
Theatre
In 1999, Sergei graduated from a secondary school, but was not faced with a choice: he had long ago determined his future path. For study, the Moscow Art Theater School was chosen, he got on the course of Kozak. As a sophomore, he already began performing on stage at the Pushkin Theater, where his teacher was Roman Efimovich Kozak.

A musical career in Russian show business for Sergei Lazarev began with the group "Smash". In addition to him, Vlad Topalov entered the male pop duet, with whom Seryozha had long known from the Fidget group, where they worked and performed together.
Even when they were members of the Fidgets collective, the idea came to the guys to create a duet project. These thoughts swirled in the boys' heads for a long time, until they got concrete embodiment thanks to Vlad's mother. She invited the guys to originally congratulate Topalov's dad on his birthday: for this they recorded a composition from the musical Notre Dame de Paris. It was 2000.
And already in 2002 a duet called "Smash" filmed their first video in the spring, and in the summer they won the song contest "New Wave" in Jurmala among young performers. In 2003, the guys released an album for the first time, which later went platinum and was reissued twice, and in the fall of the same year, their first solo concerts took place in Moscow.
Twice the duet "Smash" applied for participation in "Eurovision" from Russia, but both times they chose other performers instead: in 2003 the female duet "Tatu", in 2004 the singer Yulia Savicheva.
2004 was marked by the second album of the group "Smash", but, unfortunately, it was also the last one. Shortly thereafter, Sergei left the duo and took up a solo career.
For such a short period of its existence, the group managed to win many awards: "Golden Gramophone", "Stopudovy Hit", "Soundtrack", Muz-TV award in the category "Discovery of the Year".
Solo career
In the first solo album of Sergey Lazarev there were 12 compositions in English, and he was recorded at a studio in London. It was released at the end of 2005, quickly became popular and sold 200 thousand copies. Three songs are particularly well established at the top of the charts and have remained in the charts for a long time ("Fake", "Eye of the Storm" and "Lost without Your Love").
