Here you have to be careful with lactose intolerance. Of course, this is an individual question, and everyone has their own personal intolerance to specific products, but in the modern world, most people are found to be lactose intolerant.

- But why? After all, milk is the most natural of all products.

First, this is not entirely true. Now many women, at least in Europe, do not breastfeed because they work. And in general, there is no tragedy in this - a child needs exactly three months to develop his own immunity. And only at this moment of life is milk a necessary element. An adult does not need it. On the contrary, it is absolutely unhelpful. Especially for the teeth.

- That is, it also makes sense to give up yoghurts?

You can choose lactose-free yoghurts.

- What about baked goods?

- And how can this be achieved? Power of thought and auto-training?

- Technically, everything is clear. But how do you force yourself to change your habits? You know that changing them is extremely difficult.

I know that in order to change habits, you just need to have a goal to change them. By the way, this is very important for you. You are the red type. Accordingly, you have a weak area - the large intestine. If you don't chew your food thoroughly, you will start to swell.

- How did you understand that I am a red type?

I've been looking at people for 41 years, what do you want?


- Why did you even start doing nutrition? This is perhaps not the most masculine profession.

I grew up in a peasant family. During the war, the Francoists killed 80% of my family just because they were Catalans, and I was raised by my grandfather. Since I was the eldest of the grandchildren, I had to inherit the household. So when I graduated primary school, my grandfather believed that education was enough for me - it was time to go to the field. But I continued to study. I refused and said that I did not give any lectures, and then I agreed - in the end, I needed a job, and he was ready to pay me. And I began to lecture. Then he began to produce phytocosmetics and opened a polyclinic in Cannes specializing in preventive medicine. And one morning I woke up and fainted. I woke up in a hospital in Paris. “You're exhausted. You need to rest, ”the doctor told me. And when I realized that I would disagree of my own free will, I just put it on a plane and sent it to Sardinia. I spent two weeks there, thought hard and realized that it was time to give up all this.

Why?

Because I did not go my own way and lived through strength. And if I continued in the same spirit, I would not last long. I was lost and did not really understand what was next. - Your diet is full of restrictions.

No, I just clearly know what I want. And I do not drown out emotions and other non-nutritional needs with food.

- It turns out that your method is something like psychotherapy, except that it is centered around nutrition.

I would not say that. I've studied psychotherapy, but I don't really trust her. Besides the fact that people need to be listened to, they also need help. I have a theory that fundamentally we are all perfect. And in order not to forget about it, every morning I get up, go to the mirror and give myself 10 out of 10. And in the evening I sum up the day, remembering what I did during the day, and take points for mistakes.

- And why are you filming?

For selfishness, for lack of patience. But you never know for what else. You know, says Dr. Chenot philosophically, there is one rule. Not a thousand, but just one.
